‘Kashmir a political problem needs to be solved by Ind, Pak, people of Valley’

Srinagar, Oct 26 (KNS): The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Inc) led by the president Mushtaq Ahmad Wani held a meeting on Wednesday with the delegation headed by Yashwant Sinha, the former Finance & Foreign Minister of Government of India.
In a statement issued to KNS said that the two hour long meeting held on the invitation of the delegation was held at the Chamber House, Residency Road, Srinagar.
“The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce appraised the delegation in detail about the situation obtaining in the State during the present uprising in perspective with the past developments and events that occur because of the long standing unresolved Kashmir problem,” the statement said.
“It was impressed upon the delegation that it was a political problem which needed to be solved by India, Pakistan and the people of Kashmir through unconditional and sustained dialogue in the interest of peace, prosperity and wellbeing of the people of the region in a way that it becomes a WIN-Win situation for all as had been visualized by the former prime minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee,” the statement reads.
“The Chamber while expressing deep anguish on the death of a large number of persons mainly the youth impressed /demanded that the Government is liable to make short and long time plans for the rehabilitation of totally/partially blinded/disabled victims.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
“It also requested the delegation to use their good offices in getting the thousands of arrested persons under various laws released and the Government employees reinstated whose services have been terminated. Te delegation expressed their concern with sharing the grief and pain the people of Kashmir have been suffering.”
The leader of the group informed the meeting that it was a sincere effort on the part of the delegation to initiate a meaningful dialogue with the stakeholders so as to help find a way for starting a meaningful dialogue for the lasting and peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue. Yeshwant Sinha expressed, “that had National Democratic Alliance (NDA) not lost 2004 Lok Sabha elections, Kashmir issue would have been resolved to the satisfaction of all the stake-holders.”
The Chamber was also informed that the delegation is here to hold discussions with a cross section of the political leaders and civil Society. (KNS)
