Jammu, Jan 21 (KNS): Forest Minister Chowdhary Lal Singh here on Saturday strongly refuted the allegations of any regional disparity in their allotment of funds for Forest Department as he said “Laanat hai us par jo aisa kaam karega. Kashmir is as important me as is Jammu”.
Saying that playing politics over issues is good but for the welfare of the people and not for dividing people either along regional or religious lines.
According to KNS correspondent covering the assembly proceedings, quoting the Kashmiri couplet of Sheikh-ul-Aalam (RA) (An Poshe tele yele Wan Poshe) Forest Minister said wounds of partition are still fresh and won’t be healed in the years to come.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He spoke about the measures government is taking to protect Forest wealth and the distribution of timber by State Forest Corporation.
He told the House that twenty nine thousand hectares of forest land have been encroached in Jammu and only seven thousand hectares of land are reputed encroached in Kashmir Valley. (KNS)
