Srinagar, Feb 06 (KNS): In continuation of efforts for bringing peace in Kashmir the 79th One Day Peace Conference was held at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, in Jammu organized by Jammu And Kashmir Peace Foundation.
Jammu and Kashmir peace foundation has been holding such conferences across the country and state for the last 27 years. In today’s conference Minister in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh was as Chief Guest.
The Jammu and Kashmir Peace Foundation (JKPF) (A Non Government and Non Political Movement for Global Peace Prosperity, Brotherhood and Communal Harmony) has been established in 1998 and the organization played key role in creating sense of national hood among People of J & K State.
The Jammu and Kashmir peace foundation is engaged in holding Seminars/ Conferences/ Peace Rallies, Ulmah Conferences, Youth Leadership Training Camps, Free Medical Camps, Relief Distribution Camps, Holding Public Meetings, Awareness Camps, Environmental Awareness Camps, Cultural Programmes, Rehabilitation camps for Drug Addicts and Peace Learning Camps for last fourteen years to strengthen communal harmony, brotherhood and mutual understanding in the trouble torn J&K State. The organization is engaged in educating the people about the importance of peace and the communal harmony in an atmosphere of plural society on the globe. JKPF has organised 69 national and international peace conferences, 256 peace conferences and relief distribution camps at state level. In future we contemplate to continue our efforts in the same direction tirelessly.
Further the organisation is going to organize hundreds of peace conference at District Levels, Tehsil Levels and Block Levels in the current year. We further, are endearing to persuade the miss guided youths of the state to shun the path of violence and cushion them not to fall pray in to the hands of some vested interest that use them to enhance their ill designs and machination against the national interest and communal harmony. The aim of the organization is to maintain sovereignty and integrity of the state at all cost, create an atmosphere of peace, mutual tolerance and brotherhood so that state ushers in all round development, peace and tranquility.

The organisation is serving the effected people, men, women and children in every possible way by which the members of the organization had to face many problems from the anti- national elements, but the organization has left no stone unturned to continue their help and assistance to them.
We are also establishing an international peace learning centers, centers for rehabilitation of drug addicts, orphanage home, old age home and the Rehabilitation Center for Physically handicapped in Srinagar and also projects such as Charitable hospital at Dailgam District: Anantnag, Charitable high school at Mirbazar District: Kulgam, International peace learning center at Batmaloo District: Srinagar, Orphanage/Handicapped home at Berwah District Budgam, Upliftment of rural area such as :- Kund Qazigund, Kulgam etc, Project for upliftment of world’s best communal harmony tourism place Wasaknag Waltangoo Kund District: Kulgam which are under process.
In addition to this we are going to publish a book namely “Message of Peace” in which peace message of peace loving dignitaries will be communicated. In this connection your esteemed self is requested to send your article on peace message, role of peace foundation and a photograph. The book will be circulated on the same day in your kind presence.
The mission of our organization is to support activities which promote equal opportunities in education, independent living, economic self-sufficiency and human rights. As our many projects are in progress to strengthen and improve the situation of women, strive for environmental protection, or attempt to achieve social and cultural human rights at different levels and at different places to help the people to use their own power to fight poverty and injustice and that's how the real change happens, kindly need your keen guidance and support.
We are further committed to bridge the gap of trust between people of the state and peace loving people of the nation and across the globe. So that people get awakened about the ill designs of some vested interests sabotaging the peaceful atmosphere and initiatives. (KNS)
