Indian Airlines Cancel Flights Amid Missile Strikes on Terror Targets

New Delhi, May 7 (KNS):Indian airlines have cancelled several domestic and international flights following airspace restrictions after the Indian armed forces conducted missile strikes on terror bases across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.


Air India announced the suspension of all flights to and from multiple cities including Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot till noon.
 “Two international flights en route to Amritsar are being diverted to Delhi. We regret the inconvenience caused due to this unforeseen disruption,” the airline posted on X.
SpiceJet also reported temporary closures at airports in northern India including Dharamshala (DHM), Leh (IXL), Jammu (IXJ), Srinagar (SXR), and Amritsar (ATQ).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 “Departures, arrivals, and consequential flights may be impacted,” it noted on X.

IndiGo informed passengers that airspace restrictions have affected its operations to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, and Dharamshala.

The disruption follows early Wednesday morning missile strikes by Indian forces targeting nine terror locations. These included the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s base in Muridke.(KNS)
