Srinagar, Sep 18 (KNS): Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir strongly condemns the killing of Basit Mukhtar of Pulwama and Nasir Shafi of New-Theed Harwan who were killed mercilessly and brutally by government forces and termed these killings ‘genocide of Kashmiris’ under a well planned conspiracy.
In a statement issued to KNS, Jama’at states that killing of teenagers like Nasir Shafi and Basit Mukhtar should sever an eye opener to world community who so far has failed to raise its voice against Indian brutalities upon helpless and hapless Kashmiris.
“India is hoodwinking world community by raising so-called terrorism and developmental issues to be addressed and disallowing the groups and commissions pertaining to human rights who sought Indian approval for visiting Kashmir wherein they can review grave human rights violations made by New-Delhi who are involved in gross violation of human rights,” JeI said.
“Forces are hell bent upon to kill innocents with bullets, shells and pellets who committed no crime but only to protest against the highhandedness of occupational forces who killed and maimed 87 innocents so far since July 8,”statement adds.
Statement said, “Jama’at also vehemently condemns nocturnal raids conducted by government forces in many parts of valley. Forces conduct mid-night raids from several weeks in valley and made people terrified. They entered into Mohallas and vandalize houses, shops, vehicles and damaged all that which comes in their way.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAlso they beat inmates ruthlessly and take innocents into custody wherein they are being subjugated to third degree torture, which is a blatant violation of human rights”.
“Neither such brute policies has worked in past, nor it will work in future. So instead of imposing hardships on Kashmiri people, it is better to come forward and accept ground realities and let the concerned people to decide their future which is not only a good omen for this region but for the benefit of global peace also”.
“Jama’at-e-Islami expresses its sympathy with the families of Basit Mukhtar and Nasir Shafi and impresses upon the world forums to take strong cognizance of Indian brutalities over peaceful Kashmiris who are fighting peacefully and demanding the fulfillment of pledges made by New-Delhi, to come forward and take well-built measures for the resolution of long standing Kashmir dispute as per the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris”, states Jama’at.
Meanwhile, Ameer-e-Jama’at Ghulam Muhammad Bhat today visited sub-jail Kothibagh wherein he inquired the health condition of Advocate Zahid Ali, spokesperson of Jama’at who is feelling health disorder since last week. At the moment, Ghulam Muhammad Bhat met Muslim League activist Javed Ahmad Najar who is also detained in the same jail. (KNS)
