Srinagar, Mar 11 (KNS): As the world is acquiring new discoveries and inventions, north Kashmir’s Langate constituency is yet to be connected with Broadband internet facility due to which thousands of habitants especially contractors of adjoining areas are facing immense problems.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), north Kashmir’s Langate constituency is yet to be connected with broadband internet facility. The authorities have abandoned the constituency comprising of three blocks – Qalamabad, Langate and Kralgund – and have left the habitants especially contractors into distress.
Locals told KNS that due to non-availability of Broadband internet facility in the said constituency, contractors who needs to get MNREGA and other works online but due to absence of facility, they are compelled to move from pillar to post.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
They added, contractors, in absence of high-speed internet facility, have no alternative but to reach district headquarter Kupwara where there issues are sorted out after hectic efforts.
Another resident of Langate told KNS that even medical facilities are also deprived from broadband internet services which are pre-requisite for health sector.
Altaf Ahmad, a contractor by profession, said since August 5, 2019 our work was completely shut but after authorities restored 2G internet facility, it too didn’t provide us any relief. He said online submission of documents needs high internet speed otherwise it only wastes time of users.
Locals appealed authorities to take concrete measures in this regard and ensure broadband internet facility in the constituency for easing the issues of contractors and other concerned people. (KNS)
