Jammu, October 12 (KNS): Fayaz Ahmad, Chairman of International Delhi Public School (IDPS), Bandipora, was honoured with the Swami Vivekananda National Chairman’s Award 2026 at the Education Excellence Conclave held at Vivanta, City Centre, Jammu, on October 10.

The award was presented during the Education Excellence Conclave organised by Ek Updesh Media in collaboration with the University of Jammu. The event brought together educationists, school leaders, and education-sector representatives to recognise contributions to educational development and academic excellence.

Fayaz Ahmad had been selected for the national-level recognition in September 2026. The award acknowledges his contribution to promoting quality education and empowering learners with the knowledge, skills and values required to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
The recognition marks an important occasion for IDPS Bandipora and brings attention to the role of school leadership in creating an educational environment that encourages academic growth, critical thinking, innovation and the overall development of students.

Ahmad also received the Young Entrepreneur Award at the Jammu and Kashmir Business Conclave 2026, organised by Zee Media in June this year. The honour recognised his contribution to the education sector and efforts to promote quality learning opportunities in the region.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

In another development reflecting his involvement in the education sector, Ahmad was elected President of the Private Schools Association Bandipora in April 2026. Following his election, he expressed his commitment to working collectively with stakeholders to address issues faced by private schools and give due attention to the concerns of parents.

IDPS Bandipora, located at Kaloosa, began its academic journey in 2017 with 88 students. According to the institution’s official website, its educational philosophy emphasises academic learning alongside human values, creativity, sports and the overall development of children.

The latest national recognition, following the Young Entrepreneur Award earlier this year, adds another milestone to Ahmad’s professional journey in the education sector.
The award ceremony was attended by educationists and representatives from different institutions. The conclave provided a platform to discuss educational practices, institutional development and the importance of equipping students with skills suited to a changing world.

For IDPS Bandipora, the recognition is a significant moment as the institution continues its efforts to strengthen academic learning and provide students with opportunities for intellectual, creative and personal growth. (KNS)
