Identify tourists who entered Kashmir in last 2 months: RTI Movement


Srinagar, Mar 05 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir RTI Movement (RTIM) on Friday have appealed authorities to identify those foreign tourists who have entered Kashmir valley during last 2 months and were not screened for the Corona-virus (COVOD-19) .
A statement issued to KNS reads that Chairman of RTI Movement Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat said that Government must gear up to tackle the corona-virus challenges in J&K and undertake massive screening of people who have remained in close proximity of foreign tourists during last few months since this viral disease came into existence.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“ As per media reports published in few national dailies as many as 70 tourists have entered Kashmir during last 2 months and more than 30 had a history of travelling to China but they were not screened for the corona-virus (COVID-19) infection in Kashmir. Authorities need to find out where they visited and accordingly screen the people who have remained close to them. If some of these tourists are still in valley , they should be immediately tested “ said Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat in a statement to KNS (KNS).
