Srinagar, March 19 (KNS): Indian Dental Association has strongly recommended all dentists to voluntarily suspend non-essential or non-urgent dental care up to 31st March.
In a statement issued to KNS, IDA said, “In the light of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Indian Dental association strongly recommends all our dentist practicing in the country voluntarily suspend non-essential or non-urgent dental care up to 31st March 2020,” it said.
It added, “IDA doesn’t make this request lightly, and it is being done of an abundance of caution during this serious outbreak and historic public health emergency.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWe will continue to monitor developments around COVID-19 and will advise and recommend as new information becomes available.”
A doctor in Dental College Srinagar confirmed that Hospital has started avoiding normal dental care and only emergency dental treatment is done there. (KNS)
