Srinagar, Mar 16 (KNS): While expressing its deep concern and anguish over the seeking of details of the Kashmiri students by the Kolkata police, Hurriyat (G) said that no corner of India is safe for the Kashmiris and they are harassed everywhere in every possible ways.
Hurriyat (G) strongly criticized the role of state administration for failing in stopping the continuous attacks and harassment of the Kashmiri students studying outside the Jammu & Kashmir state and they have done only lip-service so far in this regard.
In a statement to KNS, Hurriyat (G) spokesman also criticized the West Bengal government and said that their actions will endanger the career of all the Kashmiri students studying in the state. These actions reflect the communal and prejudice thinking which has no legal or moral justifications. Hurriyat (G) cautioned that if the harassment of the Kashmiri students does not stop forthwith and the government order is not revoked, it will have a strong reaction in Kashmir and we will not tolerate to risk our children.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Hurriyat (G) spokesman said that the Kashmiri children studying in different parts of India have always been targeted in a planned manner since past many decades and the episodes in the JNU and Jadavpour Universities in the months of February this year is just an excuse to justify the harassment and the communal forces under its grab want to give went to their anger against the Kashmiri children.
Hurriyat (G) statement further reads that the Kashmiri students are being killed, murdered and imprisoned for years together and this process continues since a long time but the state government miserably failed to fulfill their responsibilities in this regard and they have never did anything concrete to protect the Kashmiri children outside the state.
The state government had many times talked about the raising of this issue with the Indian government but there is no change on the ground situations and the Kashmiris in general continue to face harassment in India in 2016 also. (KNS)
