Srinagar, Apr 12 (KNS): the state congress chief and the former tourism minister Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Tuesday nullified the reports accusing him of occupying any estates property illegally.
In a tele statement to KNS, Mir has clarified that he has not been residing in any government property illegally and that it was the government that provided him the residence on rental basis.
He states further that he was accorded the accommodation on the basis of him being the former minister. He maintained further that it was the estates department that was paying the rent on monthly basis to the landlord of that accommodation wherein he has been residing after the formation of new government in Jammu and Kashmir in 2015.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The state congress chief said that on April 09 he received a letter from the estates department asking him to vacate the government property till April 15.
“I did not want to make it a political issue. I would never beg for any government accommodation and would never approach the concern authorities over the same. I Have received the order and will act in accordance to its content the reports that has accused me of illegally occupying the government accommodation are incorrect and misleading” Mir said. (KNS)
