Jammu, Feb 05 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Peace foundation president Fayaz Ahmad Bhat here on Sunday said that Government of India has no policy to address to root cause of alienation in Kashmir and sought immediate measures for restoring the faith of people in the working of democratic institutions.
According to KNS Correspondent, Bhat during his address to a seminar held on Peace and reconciliation in Kashmir in Jammu University under the aegis of peace foundation said that restoring the confidence irrespective of political motives should be the corner stone of peace process in Jammu and Kashmir.
He warned that people on hunt for power have no concern for the pain and agony of the suffering masses of Kashmir, Bhat called upon all political parties to come together to work for the restoration of peace under one umbrella.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The peace foundation later conferred awards on some distinguished persons for their contribution in restoration of peace. Those awarded include Doordarshan broadcaster Parveena Azad and others.
He also said that a similar peace conference under the aegis of J&K peace foundation will be held in Srinagar on April 03.
The seminar was among others addressed by minister of State in the prime’s minister’s office Dr. Jitender Singh and former Additional Director General All India Radio Farooq Nazki. (KNS)
