Baramulla, Feb 14 (KNS) ; The Global Youth Foundation (GYF) on Friday established a new facilitation centre in north Kashmir's Baramulla district to provide free legal aid, administrative guidance and grievance redressal to underprivileged sections of society.
The centre was inaugurated in the presence of local residents, youth volunteers and social workers.
According to organisation the office will operate a public help desk, offer free drafting of applications and official documents, and run a dedicated grievance cell to take up people's issues with concerned authorities.
Chairman of Global Youth Foundation, Touseef Raina told News Agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the initiative is driven by the vision that no citizen should feel helpless due to lack of resources or awareness.

"Our commitment is to serve with transparency, dedication and compassion. This centre will act as a bridge between the needy and the system," Raina said.
Among the key services to be provided are free legal assistance, guidance on government schemes, education and scholarship counselling, and medical aid with priority for cancer patients.
The Foundation also announced a 10-hour daily help desk for walk-in public assistance.
Locals described the move as a welcome step, particularly in a region where access to legal and administrative support remains a challenge for many. (KNS)
