Srinagar Dec 07 (KNS): Expressing concern over the unleashing of terror and continuous arrest campaign against the Kashmiri youth by the government forces, the Hurriyat (M) spokesman has sternly condemned such police actions.
The spokesman said that the government has waged an undeclared war against Kashmiris, adding, time and again the human rights of the people were being trampled under the jackboots of police and other government forces. The spokesman said the forces and police had hardly spared any house in Kashmir where inmates were not intimidated, tortured or bullied by them.
To suppress the current uprising in Kashmir, the spokesman said, hundreds of people, especially youth were killed, thousands left injured with grievous injuries, hundreds of others were left blinded by the pellets, while as the arrest campaign continues under which innumerable youth were arrested, many of which have been detained under notorious public safety act.
Paying tributes to the people of Jammu and Kashmir especially the youth for their unflinching quest for freedom from Indian occupation despite facing such a wanton oppression, the spokesman has expressed serious concern over the fate of Kashmiri prisoners lodged in Kashmir or outside Jails.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe spokesman said there is no proper heating arrangements for the prisoners to deal with the biting cold besides jail manuals are repeatedly violated by the authorities posted in prisons. He said the prisoners include the leaders, and a large number of youth are being denied even basic facilities in the jails.
Sternly condemning the slapping of PSA against Ashiq Ahmad for the fourth time, ransacking of residential houses in Ashtangoo Bandipora during nocturnal raids by police, continuous house arrest of Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Dr. Umar Farooq, octogenarian leader Syed Al Geelani and Hurriyat Media Advisor Adv. Shahid-ul-Islam the spokesman said despite such dictatorial tactics, Kashmiris would continue to fight for their right to self determination. (KNS)
