Srinagar, Dec 31 (KNS): The government on Wednesday appointed former journalist and youth leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Tahir Sayeed as media analyst in chief minister’s office.
According to an order issued by Chief Ministers secretariat under number CMS-75 of 2015, Tahir has been entrusted to monitor the media trends regarding the state and evaluate information available publicly by media and other sources and create the report for the use of government.
The order further reads that Tahir will be also working to improve the communication between the people and government and highlight the government’s developmental agenda in tune with the pulse on ground.
“He will also work to erase the negative sentiments among people and inform them about the vision and mission of government.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelFurther he will throw open platforms for the general public to bridge the gap between government and masses,” reads the order.
Tahir hailing from Awoora, Kupwara of North Kashmir has formerly worked as an accredited journalist with the leading media group has a post graduate degree in journalism and mass communication.
He joined the Peoples Democratic Party after quitting journalism several years back and played an outstanding role in the 2014 parliamentary and assembly elections. He was appointed as youth general secretary of the party. (KNS)
