Srinagar, Jan 7 (KNS): The Government has announced one day state holiday today and a week’s mourning from today following the death of chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed this morning.
Gazanfar Hussian, commissioner secretary GAD, told KNS that there will be one-day holiday today in all government offices, and seven days’ sate mourning.

Sayeed, detected with sepsis, decreased blood count and pneumonia, was admitted to AIIMS on December 24, with complaints of neck pain and fever. He had remained in the intensive care unit of AIIMS since then. (KNS)
