G N Azad's resignation not a good decision : Farooq Abdullah

 
Srinagar, Aug 25 (KNS): National Conference president and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Friday said  that at present the Congress party is going through a difficult situation and Azad's resignation from the party is not a good decision at all. 

"At present, the Congress party is going through a difficult period and Ghulam Nabi Azad has not done good decision  by resigning from the party. However, this is Azad's own decision and it is my prayer that Almighty grants him the opportunity to do good  deeds," he told reporters here at srinagar. 

The NC chief futher said that he will hope that Ghulam Nabi Azad now stands against the hatreds that have arisen in the country. 

Expressing regret over the resignation of Ghulam Nabi Azad, he said that he spent his entire life in the  congress party and now Azad's resignation from this party is disappointing. 

He further suggested the congress leadership to introspect why it's Senior leaders are leaving the party.

Earlier, congress veteran Ghulam Nabi Azad, a former Union minister, quit the party calling out Rahul Gandhi for "immaturity" and for "demolishing the consultative mechanism" in the party(KNS)
