Srinagar, Dec 16 (KNS): Different political, social, religious and civil society groups on Friday congratulated Greater Kashmir Editor-in-Chief Fayaz Kaloo for being appointed as the president Kashmir Editors Guild.
In a statement issued to KNS, National Conference while congratulating Kaloo said under his presidency of the Editors’ Guild, journalism in the State would be strengthened further to uphold the ever-sacred values of objectivity, courage and fairness – values that the journalistic fraternity in the State has always enshrined in its work.
The NC Spokesperson Junaid Azim Mattu also congratulated other office bearers of the Kashmir Editors’ Guild and said their contributions in reflecting truth amid a din of noise and distortion had steered the narrative on crucial issues towards realism and clarity.
Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) in a statement also congratulated Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo. The DAK on becoming head of the prestigious Journalist body, Kaloo deserved the honor for his immense contribution in the field of journalism.
“It was because of his hard work, dedication and courage that he created an institution which has become voice of the voiceless,” said the doctors’ body.

The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation President Haji Mohammed Yasin Khan in his message while congratulating the Greater Kashmir Editor-in-Chief Fayaz Kaloo said he has always given due attention to the interests of the state in general and Kashmir in particular.
“Over the years, it’s only because of his dedication, honesty, courage and professional acumen that GK has grown as an institution par excellence,” Khan said.
Meanwhile, Kashmir News Service (KNS) has also felicitated Kaloo for being elected as the head of prestigious Editors’ Guild.
In his message, KNS Editor-in-Chief Muhammad Aslam said with his election as the chief, it is hoped that he would help in resolving the issues of the journalist fraternity and media organisation. (KNS)
