Srinagar, Dec 14 (KNS): EJAC president Abdul Qayoom Wani Wednesday criticized Education Minister and his OSD Shahnawaz Bukhari for victimizing activists and leaders of Teachers Forum, just to hide all “misdeeds, failures and anti teacher activities”.
In a statement issued to KNS, Wani, who also heads JK Teachers Forum, said the last two years of Education Department is a black period for the department in which teachers and students were the sufferers at every level.
Wani said he wanted to tell them that Teachers Forum is a movement and every teacher in the department is its well wisher and nobody on earth can weaken or crush it.
“Disrespecting teaching fraternity in the name of exam drama, screening test, transfer melas, super fifty, tuition ban, and involvement of NGOs with nefarious designs, assigning chowkidari duty to teachers and inducting KAS officers as Joint Directors in the department to kill and disrespect the promotional chances of officers in the department,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Wani said that higher ups of the department are only working on the wrong policies. He warned that if the dictatorial attitude didn’t end the whole teaching community will hit the roads.
Wani appealed the Chief Minister of the state to look into these sensitive issues, otherwise teachers have no option other than to fight against cruel hands. Wani said that dictatorial attitude of the said team also proved deter mental for private sector. (KNS)
