Shopoan November 7:(KNS) District Panchayat Election Officer, Shopian (Deputy Commissioner), Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin today issued notification for District Development Council constituencies’ 10-Ramnagri and 6- Kanjiullar as well as Bye-Election for the vacant Sarpanch and Panch seats for district Shopian.

According to the District Panchayat Election Officer, the last date for making nomination is 16 November 2020 while date of scrutiny is November 17th, 2020. Last date for withdrawal of candidature is 19 November 2020. Polls shall be held on Ist December 2020.

Nomination papers can be obtained free of cost from the concerned Returning Officers/ assistant Returning officers from 11 am to 3 Pm. Duly filled in nomination papers shall have to be filed in the office of the concerned Returning Officer or his Designated assistant Returning officer and at ARO Headquarter from 11 am to 3 pm on every working day till last date for making nominations,

The model code of conduct (MCC) shall remain enforced in all the urban and rural areas of the district with immediate effect.(KNS)
