Baramulla June 03:(KNS) Ajaz Ahmad Bhat(KAS), Director Horticulture Kashmir, today inaugurated the Soil Testing Laboratory and Office of Horticulture Development Officer Kreeri in presence of BDC Chairman Kreeri (Mr. Gh. Mohi-ud-din Sofi) , Chief Horticulture officer, Baramulla and other officers/officials of Horticulture Department. Besides, many progressive orchardists graced the occasion with their presence. The said building will also house the office of Subject Matter Specialist, Sub Divisional Agricultural officer and a canning Centre. The construction of the said building was a part of U.T. Government’s Developmental Programme and was constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.11Crore in a record time, under the able guidance of Mr. Naveen

 While interacting with the gathering Director Horticulture has complemented the farming community and has expressed his

pleasure to inaugurate the office. He said that the Department has

been working hard for the upliftment of farming community and urged them to avail the benefits of various schemes being provided by the Government. He also assured the growers that Government will facilitate them at all levels in the development and marketing of fruit crop.
