Srinagar, Nov 23 (KNS): Accusing the Roads and Building (R&B) department for ignoring their plights, inhabitants of Tarhama village of Tangmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district here have demanded immediate redressal of their grievances.
The residents told KNS that the authorities of R&B department have miserably failed to macadamize their area from past several years.
They said that dilapidated roads have irked them while the authorities are acting as mute spectators.

They said that the shabby conditions of roads are leaving both commuters and pedestrians to suffer.
Locals of the area said that during rains, the road gets inundated for days thereby adding more miseries to the people.
Residents of the area said that they approached higher ups several times in this regard but to no avail.
MLA Tangmarg, Abbas Wani said, “We were planning to macadamize the road but due to the unrest in the Valley, the process got stopped.
He however said that they will shortly start work of macadamization. (KNS)
