Srinagar, Feb 5 (KNS): Describing the executive police an important pillar of the JKP, the Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar has said that executive police has to play a vital role in strengthening its relations with people, having their commitment of public service.
He said that executive police, being the first responder to the problems of public has a great responsibility to win their trust by delivering justice.
Rajendra said this while inspecting the police station R. S. Pura and other police posts comes under the border jurisdiction of Police Station today.
He was accompanied by IGP Jammu Zone, Danish Rana.
During his surprise inspection, he inspected Roznamcha register, FIR register, Lockup room, Maal-khana, kot, CCTN connectivity with the police station, crime related cases and accused persons. He also interacted with the accused persons booked in various cases and lodged in lockup room, enquired their involvement in different cases and present status of their cases.
During the inspection, Mr. Rajendra sought detailed reports of crime and other cases from the concerned investigating officers dealing the cases.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe SHO, Bushan Singh Manhas briefed the DGP about the progress of various cases, deployment of personnel and functioning of police station. He also informed about the cases related to the theft of vehicles in the jurisdiction of Thana.
On the occasion, DGP interacted with the cops and stressed that Thana Police has a great responsibility to deliver to the people who remains in public service at different locations including border areas.
He said that timely and quick disposal of public grievances and better attitude at lowest level would build image of the Organization among the masses. He said that selfless service by the personnel would be recognized and the tainted, selfish elements would not be tolerated in the Organization.
Discussing the crime in Thana jurisdiction, the DGP stressed upon the cops to chalk out an effective mechanism and deal the challenge of crime firmly. He said that the investigation process should be stepped up to bring the culprits to justice. He asked to nab the evil before it raises its head and poses challenge to the law enforcing agencies.
