Srinagar, Aug 11 (KNS):Awareness program held by Division Forest Officer Shopian at Nagwan Keller, area of South Kashmirs Shopian District.

 An official told Kashmir News service (KNS), that hundreds of people from different villages like nassarpora, dunaroo Keller attended the program at Nagwan. 

He said that the Range officer Pulwama Mr Farooq Ahmad Mir also took part in the program 

"In the program the employees of rumshi range also took part of the program & few social activists were also present," he said. 

"During the Program DFO Shopian gave chance to timber smugglers to surrender infront of him or they will have to face the music, " an official said. 

"Some habitual timber smugglers surrendered in front of DFO Shopian and vowed not to smuggle again," the official said, adding that the DFO Shopian also approached the gas agencies and asked them to provide cooking gas to them under the Ujwala scheme(KNS).
