Srinagar Nov 29 (KNS): A delegation led by former MLA Ganderbal, Ishfaq Jabbar today called upon the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole and MD JKPDCL Yaseen Chowdery and raised various local issues with them.
The legislator raised various problems that have arisen due to recent unscheduled power cuts and hike in load seeking an urgent solution to the same. He highlighted the need for gearing up the concerned agencies to ensure relief to the people during the current cold wave.
Sheikh demanded roll back of load hike and said hike in load has adversely impact poor domestic consumers.
Mr Jabbar demanded immediate shifting of HT line which runs through the marshy land from Hatbura to Chundina Gogigund which causes immense problems to this area.
He also raised the issue of installation of 100MV transformer of Badampora Grid station which has badly affected the supply of electricity to the various areas of Ganderbal district which include Tullamulla , Lar, Kurhama and other receiving stations.
Jabbar urged that the damaged transformer in rural areas should be replaced within 48 hours so that consumers do not feel any inconvenience in the bone-chilling winter. He also demanded replacement of old electric poles and wires.(KNS)
