This has created a sense of insecurity among deserving candidates with new and fresh ideas who seem to be disinterested after the move.
Also, this change will mean less number of years for the coming director who needs to overhaul SKIMS which is in complete mess.
The institute which was created with an aim to give solace to people of the state has been destroyed by mismanagement.
The incumbent director who is completing his term on June 02, 2016 was picked despite his involvement in tampering his service records.
His services were terminated for unauthorized absence as he had left for greener pastures at a time when his services were needed most.
During his tenure SKIMS was turned into a hub of corruption, frauds and nepotism.
Patient care is at its lowest ebb as there is no accountability.
Despite influx of huge money, patients are dissatisfied with the care they receive.
Patients are reluctant to go there as it has been turned into a garrison.
And if anyone raises his/her voice against the ill treatment, he/she gets thrashed by security guards. (KNS)
