Anantnag, Oct 17 (KNS): The 198 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised the Fit India Freedom Run 7.0 and a plogging drive in Verinag to promote physical fitness and environmental cleanliness.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of Ops Range Anantnag and the guidance of the 40 Battalion CRPF, with local residents, municipal team members and CRPF personnel participating in the initiative.

The awareness run started from the Clock Tower in Verinag and culminated at the main entrance of the famous Verinag Garden. Following the run, participants carried out a cleanliness drive in and around the garden premises.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The initiative aimed to raise awareness about regular physical activity and environmental responsibility under the campaign messages “Fit India, Hit India” and “Fitness ka Dose, Aadha Ghanta Roz”.

Local residents appreciated Assistant Commandant CRPF Banna Ram for spearheading the programme and encouraging community participation in promoting fitness and keeping the area clean and plastic-free.

The event highlighted the importance of collective efforts in maintaining cleanliness at public spaces and promoting a healthy lifestyle.(KNS)
