Karnah, Sept 3 (KNS): A middle aged couple was injured on Saturday afternoon after an unexploded shell went off in the air in woods near Sadhna Top in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that 55- year old Ghulam Yahya Janjuwa son of Habibullah Janjuwa and his wife Zulekha Begum resident of Pingla Haridal Karnah were Injured after an unexploded shell went off in the air in Kotha Naar Bahik near Sadhna Top when they are on way to grazzing their cattles in forest area high up in the hills.
A police official also confirmed the incident and the injuries to the couple, " ' Just after the incident both the injured with the help of police and locals were taken to Sub district Hospital Tanghdar for treatment from where they are refered to Srinagar for advance treatment.
A case was also registered in police station Tanghdar, the official added. (KNS)
