Baramulla, April 01(KNS): To scale up the district administration initiative of providing essential goods to those who do not have access to it in view of pandemic COVID-19 outbreak, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today distributes various food items including rice, flour and other essentials among various destitute families at Old Town Baramulla.
On the occasion, DC said that district administration is scaling up the process of providing free distribution of essential goods to all those families who do not have to access to it under prevailing circumstances. He added that every effort shall be taken to streamline the distribution of essential commodities at the people’s door steps for which necessary mechanism has been formulated.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He further said that district administration is making efforts to ensure all support to people and appealed them to stay safe at their home so that the risk of infection is mitigated.
Dr. Itoo, however, asked agencies to ensure that social distancing is practised during the food distribution process. Later, DC also distributed face masks among these families as a move to mitigate the risk of infection outbreak for which families expressed gratitude to the district administration. He urged all those in need of food aid to contact control room established at DC Office Baramulla(KNS).
