Srinagar, Mar 5 (KNS): Expressing concern over the failure of Okhoo and Kakpora Water Supply Schemes, JKPCC Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat has accused the department concerned(PHE) for miserably failing to provide succor to the inhabitants.
In a statement to KNS, he said this is unfortunate that despite spending Rs. 7.00 crores on Kakapora Water Supply Scheme people of Kakapora and other adjacent areas still are facing acute shortage of Water Supply.
Today while on way to Srinagar the people protesting against the failure of these water supply schemes, stopped Congress Vice Mohd Anwar Bhat and urged him upon him to take up the issue with the Government, for redressal of their grievances.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Accusing PHE Department for miserably failing to address the Water crisis at Okhoo and Kakpora, Congress Vice President sought clarity from the department as to why the Kakpora and Okhoo Water supply Scheme are defunct, he questioned.
Seeking probe into the failure of these Schemes, Mohd Anwar Bhat urged upon Governor Administration to take stern action against the irresponsible Officers and see how much funds have been embezzled and how much utilized on these schemes which has been left non functional, he said. (KNS)?
