Congress General Secretary visits Tral

Srinagar Feb 17:(KNS)  The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) General Secretary Thursday visited Brenpathri Tral where he met series of locals' delegations.

During his visit to Brenpathri in Tral area of Pulwama District, JKPCC General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi expressed serious concern over lack of development and other local issues concerning residents there and sought redressal of their grievances.

Channi said people of entire J&K are confronted with hardships in absence of popular Govt. It is very unfortunate that Centre Govt on one pretext or the other is keeping away J&K from democratic process, which is responsible for the huge setback to developmental process started by UPA I and UPA II, Channi added.

Channi also expressed serious concern over the rising unemployment leading to the frustration among the youth while emphasizing for creating employment opportunities for them rather than making tall and false promises on this count.

On this occasion Channi slammed the leaked delimitation commission draft while terming it as unacceptable to people of Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS
