Srinagar, May 02 (KNS): An eleventh class student, Liyaqat Ali was Wednesday stabbed to death after he intervened in the minor scuffle of his class fellows in Billawar area of Kathua, police said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua, Shridahar Patil tol Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Ali’s class fellow had some minor scuffle during which he intervened and got killed.
“Two youth namely Abhishek Sharma and Honey Khajuria have been arrested while as the vehicle as well the weapon used in the offence has been seized,” SSP said, adding that one more youth who was in the car namely Pankas Sharma was also arrested.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that the evidences lying with them are satisfactory and the victim family is satisfied over the action initiated into this regard so far. “The committers will face the law,” he said.
“Investigation in the case is going on. The incident does not have any communal angle and police advised people not to pay heed to rumours spread by mischief mongers who are giving communal angle to the case,” police said. (KNS)
