Budgam, Oct 12 (KNS): Residents of Jawallapora, a village near the Budgam district are up in arms over the dilapidated condition of their road, alleging that the R&B Department has turned a blind eye to their repeated pleas for macadamization.
The road, which serves the village located close to the district headquarters, has been lying in a state of disrepair for a long time, causing immense hardship to the local population, they said.
Locals claimed they have approached the Executive Engineer, R&B Department, Budgam, several times, seeking urgent repair of the damaged stretch.

The residents alleged that the Executive Engineer was prioritizing roads and lanes that are already in good condition while, for reasons unknown, ignoring the Jawallapora road.
The lack of maintenance of a route serving a village so close to the district headquarters has added to public frustration, with locals demanding immediate intervention from the authorities.
Efforts to contact the Executive Engineer, Budgam, for a comment did not materialize. (KNS)
