Srinagar, Oct 23 (KNS): Border Security Force (BSF) trooper, Gurnam Singh who was injured in Pakistani firing in Hiranagar sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district on Friday, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday at hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
According to Additional Director General BSF, Arun Kumar, Gurnam Singh who was hit in a sniper attack by Pakistani forces at Mount no. 2 of Hirnagar sector succumbed to his injuries today.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
While paying tributes to the slain BSF troopers, Kumar said that after sustaining injuries, Singh was evacuated to Jammu, 90 km from Kathua and was being treated at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Jammu.
“We were scheduled to shift him Delhi’s hospital today for specialized treatment but unfortunately, the soldier succumbed to his injuries,” he said. (KNS)
