Srinagar, Apr 05 (KNS): After remaining suspended for the four consecutive days, the educational institutions in Valley barring southern districts opened on Thursday.
However, the students in various educational institutions in Kupwara, Srinagar, Handwara, Bandipora including Kashmir University and Central University Kashmir took to streets to protest against the Shopian carnage.
The students at a few educational institutions including Amar Singh College, Women’s College Srinagar also resorted to clashes during the protests.

Earlier, the educational institutions across the Valley remain closed since Monday following the Shopian carnage.
13 militants, four civilians and three Army troopers were killed during separate encounters in south Kashmir’s Anantnag and Shopian district on Sunday.
The Valley also observed complete shutdown for the four consecutive days to mourn the killings in Kashmir.
A youth also succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday at SKIMS following which the government has initiated magisterial inquiry into his death. (KNS)
