Kupwara January 20 (KNS) : Despite working day in and day out, Community Health Officers (CHOs) of several blocks in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district are without performance based incentives for the last many months.

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said the incentives based on performance to health employees have not been released in their in various blocks of district Baramulla.

They said the performance based incentives have been disbursed in several other districts, but in Baramulla the health employees are still waiting for the release of incentives.

One of the CHOs posted in Sopore block told KNS that they have several times approached the department  for the same, however, no attention is being given to their genuine demand.

“Incentives have been disbursed in maximum districts, but we fail to understand why we are being treated differently,” she said.

They appealed to higher authorities to intervene into the matter and resolve their genuine concern. (KNS)
