Srinagar, Oct 17 (KNS): PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday called for a review of SRO-433 and SRO-442 governing the Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO) and Junior Agriculture Extension Officer (JAEO) cadres, citing the ongoing protest by agriculture graduates in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a post on X, Mehbooba said the graduates had been protesting peacefully for 27 days, seeking changes to the recruitment framework.

She said the administration should address their demands by reviewing the two service rules and ensuring fair recruitment opportunities for qualified candidates.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“Years of hard earned education must lead to opportunity, not uncertainty,” she said.

Mehbooba also said educated youth should have fair opportunities to secure employment and serve Jammu and Kashmir.

The protest centres on recruitment-related concerns involving the AEO and JAEO cadres, with the graduates seeking intervention by the administration. (KNS)
