Jammu, Feb 14 (KNS): Congress workers and Leaders of Banihal constituency on Sunday hold condolence meeting at Nachalana Banihal under the chairmanship of former minister and member legislative assembly Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani in order to condole the accidental death of nine beacon labourers of Tethar, Kothal and Nowgam Banihal who died of tragic death in fatal road accident on Saturday.
Congress leaders hold special prayer for heavenly peace of departed souls and observed five minutes silence in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion Vikar Rasool Wani expresses his sympathy with the bereaved families and termed the accident as a collective loss of the society. He said that Ramban Banihal portion of Jammu Srinagar National highway is death trap for passengers as accidental death ratio is constantly increasing from last couple of years.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe further added that government should take immediate steps to ensure safety measures on the highway.
In their condolence message Senior Congress Leader and secretary Pradesh congress committee Imtiyaz Ahmed Khanday also express his grief on this fatal accident and demand compensation for the family members of those who died in this accident.
Besides others Senior Youth Congress Leader Alyas Banihali Mohd Ayoub Zahid, Ab Rashid Manhas, Bashir Ahmed Naik, Farooq Ahmed Katoch, Sarpanch Ab Gani Kachero block president Congress Mohd Sharef Ganai and others also spoke on the occasion show their sympathy with bereaved families. (KNS)
