Srinagar, Sep 10 (KNS): All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) today asked union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to take concrete steps and translate the announcement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15 vis-a-vis Kashmir.
The demand was made by a delegation of APSCC that called on the Home Minister here today. The delegation was led by APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina. The delegation comprised of several leaders from many districts of Valley likePulwama, Budgam, Baramulla, Srinagar. The other members of the delegation were Principal Niranjan Singh, P.S.Bali (Kanwal Kashmiri), Ajit Singh Mastana , Gurdial Singh ,Tehsildar Karan Singh, Davinder Singh.
The APSCC delegation said that since the Prime Minister has said that Kashmir's problem can be solved by embracing the people it is important that tangible measures are taken so that the announcement becomes a reality.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The delegation said that Government of India should resolve the issue pertaining to Article 35-A politically rather than legally. They said that since the issue is related with sentiments of people of Jammu & Kashmir it needs to be tackled carefully.
The APSCC delegation flagged off the issues confronting the Sikh community that is minority in the state. The members said the Sikhs of Jammu & Kashmir have been deprived of the privileges due to the minority communities of the country. (KNS)
