Srinagar, Jan 30 (KNS): On the auspicious occasion of the 15th of Shabaan, marking the birth anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Mahdi (A.S.)—a day of immense spiritual significance for Muslims, particularly the Shia community—JKPC General Secretary and President of the All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association, Molvi Imran Ansari, has urged the civil administration to ensure comprehensive arrangements for Shab-e-Barat, which will be observed on the night of February 3rd across Kashmir.
Molvi Imran Ansari emphasized that the 15th of Shabaan is a night of prayer, supplication, and reflection, during which thousands of devotees visit graveyards and Imambaras to offer Fatiha, recite special prayers, and seek divine mercy. In light of this, he appealed to the J&K administration to ensure proper sanitation, grass cutting, drain desilting, stray dog management, and repair of street lights in and around all major graveyards and Imambaras well in advance.
He further urged authorities to provide an uninterrupted electricity supply, particularly to major graveyards and Imambaras, so that devotees face no inconvenience during night-long prayers.
