Srinagar, June 28 (KNS): Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar, on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim World on Eid-ul-Adha.

The Anjuman in a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that as far as the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha in Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, this year’s Eid is also being celebrated at a time when people in Jammu and Kashmir are going through
difficult times

It recalled the philosophy of Eid-ul-Adha and the unparalleled sacrifices of Hazrat Ibraheem (AS) and Hazrat Ismaeel (AS), terming it the ascension of humanity.

It urged people to celebrate Eid with simplicity in accordance with Islamic traditions and teachings, and seek the pleasure of Allah by reaching out to poor, backward and needy. (KNS)
