Srinagar, Apr 17 (KNS): Media students from Amar Singh College here visited the 'Soulful Kashmir – Know Your Artisan' exhibition at Kashmir Haat as part of their field reporting exercise.
The exhibition, organised by the Department of Handicrafts & Handloom, Kashmir, aims to highlight the stories, skills, and heritage behind the Valley’s traditional crafts.
During the visit, students interacted with master artisans and witnessed live demonstrations of various craft techniques, the department of media studies at the college said in a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).
The students also held discussions with Mussarat-ul-Islam, Director of Handicrafts & Handloom, Kashmir, who appreciated the institution's initiative to bring trainee journalists to the event.

Faculty members Prof Pervez Majeed, Prof Benish Ali Bhat and Dr Saima Riyaz accompanied the students, the statement added.
The visit was aimed at strengthening the students’ understanding of cultural journalism and the preservation of traditional craftsmanship, it said. (KNS)
