Terms beating of people by forces at Qaimoh as worst form of State terrorism

Srinagar, Jul 27 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) strongly condemned the continuous detention of its members Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi, Peer Ghulam Nabi, Farooq Ahmed Saudagar, Muhammad Sidiq Hazar, who were recently detained and lodged in police lock up, when they were on way to Beerwah to express solidarity with the family members of slain Tanvir Ahmed Wani, who was killed in Army firing.
The AAC spokesman also said that the driver of the vehicle ferrying the delegation and photographer Muhammad Iqbal Beig were also taken under custody, which is highly condemnable.
AAC said that even expressing sympathy with those killed mercilessly and with impunity is now liable to arrests and being put in jails.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAPHC said the party activists should be released immediately.
Meanwhile, the AAC spokesman strongly condemned the frequent raids by forces at Qaimoh in Kulgam terming it has ultimate highhandedness. He said that barging into the residential houses, beating people and vandalising the property reflects frustration of forces, who enjoy impunity under various black laws.
Terming the beating of people by forces at Qaimoh as a worst form of State terrorism, the AAC said such acts should stop forthwith while as world community should take serious note of such illegal raids. (KNS)
