Srinagar, Sep 26 (KNS) : In a spirited celebration of national unity and patriotism, Srinagar Police organized a large-scale "Run for Unity" across juridictions of Police Stations Lalbazar, R.M.Bagh, Safakadal, Karan Nagar, Chanapora, Masiuma, Rajbagh, Khanyar, Sadder in the District to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, revered as the Iron Man of India.
The event was held as a tribute to Sardar Patel’s pivotal role in unifying the country post-Independence and his enduring legacy as a symbol of national integration.
The "Run for Unity" also served as a platform to encourage community engagement, particularly among the youth, in promoting the ideals of unity, discipline, and social harmony.
The run saw active participation from hundreds of students, teachers, civil society members, and local stakeholders, who gathered with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
Various schools and colleges across Srinagar collaborated with the Police for this initiative, underlining the importance of educational institutions in fostering values of citizenship and unity among young minds.
