Srinagar, Sept 26 (KNS) : The Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK) has welcomed the reopening of previously closed tourist destinations, particularly Aru Valley, calling it a positive move for the region’s tourism sector.

In a statement issued today, TAAK President Farooq Kuthoo said the reopening of tourist spots sends a strong and encouraging message to both domestic and international travelers. “It is a welcome step that will help in restoring the confidence of tourists and stakeholders associated with the industry,” he said.

However, Kuthoo urged the Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha to also prioritize the reopening of several key offbeat destinations such as Doodhpathri, Yusmarg, Tosamaidan, and Baisaran.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“These lesser-known yet beautiful places hold immense potential to diversify the tourist experience in Kashmir and need to be made accessible again,” he emphasized.

He added that reopening all closed tourist spots would go a long way in reviving the tourism economy and attracting more visitors to the Valley, many of whom remain hesitant due to ongoing restrictions and safety concerns.(KNS)
