Srinagar, Feb 11 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Liberation front (JKLF) on today paid rich tributes to Muhammad Maqbool Butt on his 36th death anniversary. Flanked with dozens of JKLF leaders from Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the spokesman on the occasion said that Maqbool Butt sacrificed his today for our tomorrow and showed this nation a path to tread on for the achievement of national freedom. Dar in a speech said Maqbool Butt as a student activist played a very proactive role that made him to move across the other side of Jammu Kashmir.
In a statement to KNS, Kashmiri mothers gave birth to thousands of Maqbools since his martyrdom on 11th February, 1984, he added. He said that Afal Guru treaded the same path and met the same fate as Maqbool Butt on 09th February, 2013.

Muhammad Rafiq Dar thanked the people of Jammu Kashmir for observing complete shutter down on 9th and 11th February and for showing their love and commitment towards Baba-e-Qoam and the movement even amidst police threatening’s and high handedness. Tributes were paid in similar protest demonstrations in every part of the State of Jammu Kashmir especially in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan and in the rest of the world.
The speakers while paying tributes to Baba-e-Qoam demanded immediate release of all illegally arrested pro=freedom leaders including Muhammad Yasin Malik. (KNS)
