Bandipora, May 13 (KNS): Bandipora Bar Association today elected Advocate Sofi Feroz as its president, while Advocate Ab Asif Iqbal as vice president, during the election at a district court complex in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A total of 53 members cast their votes during the election for the District Bar Association.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Service (KNS) that advocate Sofi Feroz secured 35 votes to be elected as president, while the other contender for the post secured 16 votes.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Moreover, Advocate Asif Iqbal, elected as vice-president, secured 21 votes.
Advocate Shafeeq Bhat was elected as secretary, he secured 41 votes.
On this occasion, Advocate Sofi Feroz said that “he will do his job honestly to uphold the dignity and respect of the lawyers. I will work for the betterment of this association,” he said.
The election was conducted by the election body of the District Bar Association, Bandipora. (KNS)
