Karnah, Jan 26 (KNS) The 72th Republic day celebrations were held at several places in Karnah with great zeal and enthusiasm.

The main function was held at mini secretariat Tanghdar where Block Development council Chairman Tanghdar, Reyaz Ahmed unfurled the flag and took salutes.

Among other the function was attended by officers from civil administration, army officers and members from PRIs.

Speaking on the occasion, the BDC chairman highlighted the importance of the day and presented an overview of achievements & developmental activities being taken for execution in the year 2020-21.

Similarly, in a separate function held at Dak Banglow Tanghdar the chairman Civil society Karnah Peerzada Siraj ud Din Qurashi accompanied by Sarpanch Halqa Tanghdar unfurled the National flag in presence of officers from civil and military administration & members from PRIs.

   Various cultural programme were present by member of Pahari cultural club Karnah and members of Karnah music band.

  Speaking on the occasion, the brigade Commander 104 Brigade extended his warm greetings to the people and highlighted the importance of Republic day in the history of Republic India. 

  At the end prize were distributed among the participant of Cultural programmes, on the ocassion the brigade Commander were also given a cheque of RS 50000 to a widow whose residential house recently gutted in a fire incident.

Meanwhile the 72th Republic day function held at Army Goodwill school Baghbella, The brigade Commander 104 Shakti Vijay Brigade,SP Kansal unfurled the tricolor in presence of officers army and civil administration,school authorities and students who presented various cultural activities at the function.
