The Patwari’s who were on strike from last three days Tuesday suspended their strike till September 1st as the state government assured them to sort all their issues.
Talking to KNS over phone Minister of state for Revenue Sunil Sharma said: “We will soon address all the genuine issues of the Patwari’s and will convene the DPC meeting within a short period of time.Government has examined all their demands on priority,”
Meanwhile Sources said that Patwari’s have suspended their strike till September 1st after the government assured them to resolve their problems.
Sources said that Revenue Minister Javed Mustafa Mir discussed the demands of the striking Patwaris at a meeting held with the representatives of J&K Patwaris Association in civil secratrate.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He assured them that Government will address their all genuine and outstanding issues at the earliest.
Sources said that the Patwari’s agreed to suspend their strike till September 1st.
It is to mention here that the Patwaris under the banner of All J&K Patwar Association had gone for indefinite strike against the government for not convening the meeting of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC).
The Patwaris had alleged that from last 3 year the six meetings convened by Departmental Promotion Committee in Kashmir were without results. “In Jammu Division promotions were awarded to Patwari’s while the situation in Kashmir is altogether different,” they had said. (KNS)
