SRINAGAR, Oct 8 (KNS): Two Jammu and Kashmir government officers have developed a mobile application to provide easy digital access to the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Regulations, 1956 (JKCSR), officials said on Thursday.
Shahnawaz Qadir, Assistant Accounts Officer, Codes Division, and Feroz Ahmad Mir, Joint Director, Codes, have designed the JKCSR App, which offers part-wise, chapter-wise and article-wise navigation of the regulations, they said.
The app, available on Google Play Store with an iOS version expected soon, eliminates the need for officials to carry bulky physical volumes of the regulations, which are frequently consulted on service, pension and financial matters, the officials said.
According to the officials, the application features a powerful search and customised search function, article-wise viewing, a simple reading interface, copy-and-share options and an "Article of the Day" feature with notifications.

The initiative is aimed at promoting ease of access to government rules, encouraging greater familiarity with applicable provisions among employees and supporting informed, rule-based decision-making, they said.
Members of the government service have been encouraged to use the application and share feedback for its improvement, with the developers stating that suggestions would help incorporate additional features in future updates, the officials added. (KNS)
